He was 2 lanes over - Paceing me and reving his fart pipe .. I gnored him for 30 seconds then finally looked over and laughed.. What did he expect to happen in 6:00 traffic ???... He was droping it down a gear reving it - trying everything he could .. We stopped at a light back 5 or 6 cars and he must have missed 2 gears downshifting - grind - Jam - grind - Jam .. LOL :hammer:

I have to share a weird story here......you inspired it Doug, so just sit back and deal with it:tongue: .

I had a similar situation happen a few months ago. Some teen in a riced out Honda with a fart can muffler, did the same crap to me. I even looked at him and gave him the fock off wave....LOL.

He did me this way through about 3 traffic lights. By coincidence he was headed to the same convenience store I was.

I get out of my truck and this guy comes up to me. He starts talking like he thinks Lightnings are the stuff......so blah, blah blah....alot of idle chat....then I ask him if he knew Lightnings where so fast, why was he acting like he wanted to race. Get this...he tells me he just wanted to watch me take off so he could hear the cool supercharger sound.

Now this semi-disfunctional story has a point. The first month I bought my L, during a similar situation, my son made an off hand comment about how it is fun to try to get someone in a fast ride to take off.

I wonder at times like that now if the dope in the ricer is serious about wanting to race...or just wants to watch you take off like a darned fool.

There are a lot of times people will try and egg me into taking off. Last Sunday coming back form the movies a F150 full of "roofers" pulls up beside. He motions for me to hit it so I do for a second. He catches back up and this time he has his cell phone out the window and wants me to do it again. I guess he wanted his buddy in Laredo to hear it too:rll:

Now that is crazy:eek: . You should have said,"throw me your phone and he can hear it from in the cab", then you could have let his friend hear you stealing his phone:rll: .

Thats why even at a light I dont even react untill I see and hear the other person go to WOT..

9 times out of 10 I can reel them in before I get across the intersection

Kind of the same story here Ron. I was on 30 coming home a few months ago and two guys pull up next to me and asked me to punch it they just wanted to hear the S/C whine.

One of our neighbors at the apt. (younger GQ / gym type) has a '01/'02 blue GT with (he says) a chip/filter/Bassani X-Pipe with no cats. The thing sounds pretty mean and loud!

I run into him occasionally and told him we need to go outside of town and see what they can do. He hemmed/hawed and acted like he wanted to, but always seemed to find an excuse.

The other day, we leave out about the same time and I make it a point that we end-up at the same light side-by-side. He commented on the Z#ino job :bows and I told him his Mustang sounded good. :D

I told him on-green let's go for it. He said it's no contest... the L would take him. I told him - I don't care - LET'S GO!

Checking all directions before the green went, I got on it "pretty healthy", he takes off with me at the same time. I'm pulling away on him all the way up to 60+ and back-off.

I don't know how hard he was "trying" but I thought it would've been a little closer "competition" as in Power/Weight ratio. I guess the L's TQ DOES make that much of a difference - even stock.

I've actually had some kids in a 2.5 ton U-Haul rev on me hard (2 guys with a hot chick in the middle) in Plano. I can imagine what that looked like... this HUGE U-Haul rocking back-and-forth revving and me sitting beside them! :evil They were like "GO DUDE!...GO!" :d

Kids!

Last nite, coming back from Cedar Hill, some kid in a ricer :D pulls up next to me while I am cruising down the 1382 back towards I-20. He sits and makes his fart noise next to me for a couple of hundred yards, then would accelerate, slow down, accelerate, slow down, etc.... So, I finally roll down the passenger window and ask him how much of a head start he wants. The little bastage flips me off, and I just LMAO at him. :rll: Must of made him mad, so he hits it. I let him get about 5-6 lengths up on me and then pull up even with him, wait until we are about 80, and flip him back, and then I hit it. :burnout: After a quick 5-6 car lengths ahead, I slowed back down to my cruise speed of 60. The little bastage stayed behind me the whole way after that. Smoked rice tastes awful good.

I raced an old 4 banger mustang in the cavalier after i droped the L off at the body shop. It was neck and neck but then the power of orange(turned the a/c off) kicked in and i pulled half a car on him. :nana2 :rll:

Laney must think your not, "MAN ENOUGH", to get it down the track without screwing up. Now she knows telling you this, would cause you shame, so she plays you, with all the "logical thinking" arguments.

Show her your a man....before it's too late Ronald. This may be your last chance to establish who is going to wear the pants.

Yeah, I had a kid in a Dakota R/T trying to play car tag with me on Bush/Tollway to Frisco the other day.. traffic prevented us, but I pulled over and talked to him for a bit, at least he is learning how to work his truck over, and learn how to build it up, which is cool in my book. He said he knew he couldn't take me, but wanted to have fun anyway. ;)

I was driving east on 121 toward McKinney a couple weeks ago, thru the construction, and a BIIIG black guy driving one of those huges earthgrinder/steamroller-type machines was waving frantically at me, giving me the biggest grin (could see the white of his teeth at 100 yds!) and a thumbs up. So, I wave back, and when the light changed, and the traffic in front of me moved out, I waited an instant 'til he had made his turn and was watching me, and lit 'em up thru the intersection, damn I think he either had a heard attack, or wet himself, he was so happy.
