From what I've read, these are camel spiders the US troops are running into in Iraq. :eek2:

They are not in Texas, but they are in the United States and typically the size of a childs hand.

Huge or not, Jacob... I'd make like a cartoon character and run right through a brick wall if one of those damned things came after me! :eek2:

Same here, I HATE SPIDERS. Sucky thing is that there all over the shop i work at this year. I finaly got my manager to get the bug man to go around and spray all the bad doors. At the end of the day when we go around closing all the doors the damn things will fall on you.

yuck! I would freak out. I ran down the street taking my shirt off once when I walked through a web and the spider got on me.

I was over there during our first excursion to that wonderful country and the spiders were thick. They are mostly nocturnal and would hide in your boots when the sun was coming up. We learned to put our boots in trash bags over night. Never, ever put on a boot without shaking it out first.

I remember finding trantulas out in the desert in west Texas and tying them to bottle rockets and firecrackers. Little bastards can jump pretty high when they are tied to a rocket!!
