I'm middle of the road, I've had plans for FFW Houston for 8-9 years now .Each year something happen or car is not ready. This year I will have just gotten back from Alabama taking my mom home. Plus my neighborhood homeowners association is having neighborhorhood yard sales the 1st and my wifey wants to join in.(go ahead insert :rll: here), but once a year events with wifey like this pays off when FFW Ennis, Lfest,YellowRose and all the other racing events / carshows I attend without any :nono: or  or have to hear any yap-pa-d-yap-yap :crying: .But it looks as if I will be going to Redline . May even ran down the 1320 !!! 1/8 mile is just not my thing. Gues if I did it one time my opinion may change.

Hey Derrick,

Redline is a 1/8th mile track. So that would make it a 660. :D

I just sent in a pic of my truck doing a burnout to the TMCC website so that they can add me to the photo page. If anyone else has a cool pic that they want on the page, go here and click on the link at the top.

True Blue Aggie

Maybe we should ask just ask the missus if she wants to race it????? She could be the first woman Talon bracket racer, unless Ronald does decide to come out, then he could be the first......

:d :d :d :d

Sandman
04-29-2004, 11:41 PM
No.. She was standing there the other day when Ronald and I were talking about racing. I told him that I'm sure she could handle it... but he brought up something about a Lightning video he had seen where a woman was driving it.... If I remember.. the truck ate the wall:eek:

Unless this congestion leaves my chest, I won't be going..

I wanna change my oil in case I wake up feeling good, but I don't want to get out in the wind at all.

But if she needed a ride somewhere or something I would help Steve out:tu: Seing a single parent is hard enough just trying to help a brother out.

We'd like to attend Red-Line, but there's alot of things around here that are going to have to take precedence, first. Bed-breakfast places to review, etc.

I got the nod for the TMS event, but got an initial "hell no" response for Tom's Clubhouse outing. I think there's a chance, yet!

Things went pretty well yesterday. My 60' times were inconsistant (and thus the ETs), but I managed to survive anyway. A .523 light in the final never hurts. Redline did a great job of running the program yesterday. They are also hosting the last TMCC event of 2004 in October. I've got to say the TMCC folks are the friendliest bunch of racing people I have ever been around. Looking forward to the next event in Noble, OK (June 6).

Dennis is very good, but there was a little luck there on this win. Also, I would like to second how well Redline ran this program, and the friendliness of TMCC. I will be joining more of these events.

There is always a little luck when you win. I guess you are probably talking about the guy that hit the .503 light on me and still lost? Or maybe the 9.70 that I hit on the brakes on a 9.70 dial. :evil

Yup, but the 9.70 on the brakes though was all skill right?

MarkActually, that was sheer panick after I realized I was ahead by way too large of a margin at the finish line. So on a postive note, I will call that decent "race awareness". :D
