It's the Air Raid kit. I wanted to put at least a K&N replacement filter in it, but this kit does away with all of the stock baffles and crap. Pretty clean little set-up. That damn motor needs any help it can get, especially down low. It will get with the program once she's rollin', but the little 5.4 struggles to lug 5400+ lbs, when accelerating from lower speeds.
The initial seat-of-the-pants is a definite improvement, and sounds like a 4 barrel Quadrajet at WOT.:d Plus I'm hoping it'll improve gas mileage at least a little.:tu:
This will have to do it for a while, cause anything else(mod wise) would be too costly in terms of price or labor for the minimal gains I'd see. I just gotta keep telling myself that the stock wheels/tires look just fine!:evil
Thanks to Jeff and Steve for helping me slap the kit on there this afternoon......and the DP.
Later,
Rob

Not unless I drove it off a 1/4 mile high cliff and timed its descent!:evil
...........Which is not so too very likely.:d
I'm really enjoying it out on the jobsite though.:tu:

That differnence you are feeling is the extra fuel and air burning. Thus not improving your fuel economy. If you want economy you would cover up half the stock filter. You just made it burn more gas:D
On a serious note the only way I know to improve fuel economy is an elcetric fan kit. Maybe a muffler if the stock one is restrictive. All I recomend on NA trucks is intake and exhaust. My Z71 will get a huge quiet Magnaflow straight through. I love how quiet it is I can't even tell it is running compared to the shaker.

I knew you couldn't stay away:rll: . A good tune will gain you about 25H.P.
A pulley swap about 10 or so. The electric fans will give you about 10-12 due to taking the hunk of metal off the crank.
Start checking out some of the centrifugal S.C. kits............wahoo!!!!!!!!!!
Rob is back:d .
Rocks:cool:
