Took it all out of the boxes to make sure everything arrived unscathed. I'm hoping to take a day off on Thursday and install it. We'll see.

Be sure to post pics.
Wes,
What all did you get? I have been looking at some Roush stuff myself. Wanted to compare notes.

Del,
I got the suspension kit for the '99-03 F150 standard cab trucks. Part # PN00-3K000-RC. They only make one kit for our trucks... doesn't matter if its a Lightning or a regular F-150.
Here's what comes with the kit: rear leaf springs, front coil springs, four new re-valved Bilstein shocks (specifically designed for the Roush stuff...although you would not be able to tell these shocks from the stockers), front upper control arm cam bolts/nuts for proper alignment capabilities and front jounce bumpers.
I know you can buy all these parts individually from Roush if you so choose.

I would be interested in a before/after comparison of several things:
1)Ride quality-stock is a little harsh but I have ridden in bone jarring mustangs
2)Weight transfer for dragging
3)Overall handling at the limits--for road course racing
I am trying to decide if it is worth the expense for the improvements. I like the stock rake of the truck so I dont want to change that. I would not mind it being about 1 inch lower/front and two inches lower in the rear but don't want to spend the money unless I get some suspension improvements also.
Just a note:
The stock suspension handles pretty damn well at higher speeds, found out the hard way about two months ago when I got ran off the highway down an S-curve exit ramp by a diesel that never saw me. I exited at about 90 and the corners were almost immediately off the highway, the L took it in stride even under 3/4 braking. I knew better than to totally unseat the rear by braking too hard. If I had been in my 91 GT mustang my ass end would have been switching places with the front end before I could say :nono: . LOL

Tommy,
Trust me when I say that I will post a thorough review...after some decent seat time. Honestly my primary goal is to lower the L to a stance that is more desirable _without_ hurting ride quality too badly. I accomplished this on my '99 with just swapping out the hangers (not shackles) in the rear and running lowering springs in the front (and I installed stock '01+ Bilsteins). That truck was dropped 1.75-2" all the way around, keeping the stock '99-'02 rake.
I have heard excellent reviews on the Roush stuff, especially with regards to not compromising ride quality. Other suspension kits/parts that were recommended also came with lots of comments about significnat increases in ride harshness...something I do not want.
Also, I am not going to install different rear shackles, so my truck will remain with some rake to it. Like you, I prefer it that way, although I prefer the '99-02 rake vs. the '03-04 rake which is exaggerated in my opinion.
My '99 did not suffer any problems hooking up the F1 tires, but it had less power than my '04 has/will have. But I am not going to be pushing more than 375-380rwhp, so I think I will be fine with it as far as planting the rear tires. I will be disappointed if it just blows them off really bad from a 1st gear punch. Right now it just hooks and goes, but I do not have my chip yet.
Am going to try to do the install tomorrow (Wed). I will take a before pic...don't have any yet.
