got this today in my email... i figure just us would put a dent in gas in the dallas area... Anyone else in?? I can hold off buying gas on the 19th...

IT HAS BEEN CALCULATED THAT IF EVERYONE IN THE UNITED STATES DID NOT
PURCHASE A DROP OF GASOLINE FOR ONE DAY AND ALL AT THE SAME TIME, THE
OIL COMPANIES WOULD CHOKE ON THEIR STOCKPILES.

AT THE SAME TIME IT WOULD HIT THE ENTIRE INDUSTRY WITH A NET LOSS OF
OVER 4.6 BILLION DOLLARS WHICH AFFECTS THE BOTTOM LINES OF THE OIL
COMPANIES.

THEREFORE MAY 19TH HAS BEEN FORMALLY DECLARED "STICK IT TO THEM DAY"
AND THE PEOPLE OF THIS NATION SHOULD NOT BUY A SINGLE DROP OF GASOLINE
THAT DAY.

THE ONLY WAY THIS CAN BE DONE IS IF YOU FORWARD THIS E-MAIL TO AS MANY
PEOPLE AS YOU CAN AND AS QUICKLY AS YOU CAN TO GET THE WORD OUT.

WAITING ON THIS ADMINISTRATION TO STEP IN AND CONTROL THE PRICES IS NOT
GOING TO HAPPEN. WHAT HAPPENED TO THE REDUCTION AND CONTROL IN PRICES
THAT THE ARAB NATIONS PROMISED TWO WEEKS AGO?

REMEMBER ONE THING, NOT ONLY IS THE PRICE OF GASOLINE GOING UP BUT AT
THE SAME TIME AIRLINES ARE FORCED TO RAISE THEIR PRICES, TRUCKING
COMPANIES ARE FORCED TO RAISE THEIR PRICES WHICH EFFECTS PRICES ON
EVERYTHING THAT IS SHIPPED. THINGS LIKE FOOD, CLOTHING, BUILDING
MATERIALS, MEDICAL SUPPLIES ETC. WHO PAYS IN THE END? WE DO!

WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE. IF THEY DON'T GET THE MESSAGE AFTER ONE DAY,
WE WILL DO IT AGAIN AND AGAIN.

SO DO YOUR PART AND SPREAD THE WORD. FORWARD THIS EMAIL TO EVERYONE YOU
KNOW. MARK YOUR CALENDARS AND MAKE MAY 19TH A DAY THAT THE CITIZENS OF
THE UNITED STATES SAY "ENOUGH IS ENOUGH"

What sucks is the only true way to boycott gas prices is to buy a hybrid.

you guys should do what we did in scotland,,,
didnt just not buy the fuel,,every truck, tractor, 18 wheelers,
went out and drove at 5 mile per hour ,,took the whole country to its knees, every motorway was blocked,
but we pay $6.70 per gallon,,,,
and to think i run 9 vechiles, fuel bill around $500-700 per week,,
so you guys are not hard done buy ,
think it will be less to run them on whiskey, :)

Better yet, just start drilling on our own. We have plenty of oil in our own country. It's just oftentimes more expensive without govt subsidies for us to excavate it (read: US worker costs lot more $$ than an Arab worker). But as prices start to increase like they have, we may see a shift back to US oil production.

Screw the forests in Alaska...I'll wipe my behind with a spotted-owl! Time to let the US oil companies do their thing.

Exactly..... !!!!! I was just about to post about Alaska!! Fing owels....

We can move HUMAN INDIANS to a reservation but not Fing owels!?!?!?!
All the Gov. has to do is GIVE the land to those interest groups out right.... Then they would just allow us to drill, when they realize that they can really save the world better with Billions they will make....
Thats the only way in my eyes to solve that whole dispute....

Who knows.... I just really hope that technology can produce a bad ass hybrid w/300+ hp.... Now that will be the day!! Electric hotrods!!!
