This is slightly off the subject of Lightnings but does anyone have an opinion of a place called Performance Mustang, 2539 North Freeway, I45N between Patton and N. Main. They have a 93 SVT Cobra that looks interesting but I am not sure if I want to drive all the way from Laredo to Houston. Has anyone every dealt with them? If so what was your impression(are they legit, quality of vehicles, etc....). I am the current owner of a 03 Lightning(white), 96 SVT Cobra(red). Thanks for the info...

I driven by there on more than a few occasions and there inventory is very nice to say the least. Your best bet would be to go to bbb.com , type in there phone no# and see if they've had ALOT of complaints. In this world you can't make everyone happy but if the list is long it may be a problem.

I've never dealt w/ them but I know they have been there at least 10 years.
They have been known to carry some very nice Stangs.

Like the place owned by USA Motorsports in Dallas, Mustangs of varied origins, Some are other peoples discarded toys, but some will likely be stolen/recovered or wrecked cars that have been rebuilt. USA has a bigger selection and good prices, as long as you are sharp enough a buyer to know which type of re-build you are buying. Good way to get a car with new motor or tranny (in some cases) or pieces of several wrecked cars in others. You need to know your cars when buying, like any other used car. Not to say they will all have re-built titles, but beware of salvage titles whoever you buy a vehicle from, they are hard to re-sell.
