Well, after over a week of waiting I took delivery of my new car today.
Really surprising car; smooth ride compared to the Vette and the Porsche, a noticeable power difference from the Vette, not so much so from the Lightning … just a really strange kinda power.
Not really sure how to explain it, just seems more noticeable that it has torque. The Lightning under full throttle roll in’s would just smoke the **** out of the tires… this thing just plain hooks. It honestly feels more controlled in the corners than either my Vette or Porsche was and obviously you can not usually compare handling of a truck to cars.
The gas and brake pedal are at the same height so it doesn’t take ANYTHING to launch!
It is more comfortable in the cockpit than the Vette but doesn’t have a side rest for your clutch foot as the Vette did.
The suspension and steering seems to work better and feels much more secure in how the car “sticks” to the road.
Yet as great as it seems to handle…you can’t help but know that it is almost like the 2 stroke power band… you just know that the first time you are not paying at least 75% attention (Lightning took less than 40%...LOL) it’s going to get out from under ya!:hammer:
As much as I said I wasn’t going to “mod” this one out:rll: , I ordered the complete Kenwood DVD touch screen and navigation system with the voice command. The complete alarm with ignition start and temp sensors, perimeter sensors (gonna need all that in my garage right) all before the car even got here this morning.
Is there a “Betty Ford” clinic that addresses this “mod” addiction?:D
