Anyone here know anyone that works for the State Department or U.S. Customs that could give me some specifics about importing a vehicle into the US? Or has anyone here done that before?

I've done it before a number of times. What do you need to know and what country is it coming from?

Basic process is to get a statement from the manufacturer certifying that the vehicle calibration meets the US standards (No problem on newer vehicles), On older vehicles, it depends on the year of manufacture what the laws are.
