You going to enter your truck Mike? Or is anyone else? I think we should get a group to enter, just so we can sit and look cool. Bunch of L's in a row.

Yeah, found that out when I stopped on my way home this evening to wash my L, and I couldn't even get the towels to work right... :( Gave up after a few swipes... thank goodness I started on the roof...

get a california water blade. I only use maybe 2 towels to get water spots and some detail spray. But tonight i used some wax that i hadnt used in a good while, and found out why i stoped using it. Stuff is a pain to get off and leaves a greasy film on it thats hard as hell to get off. But teh truck looks good tho so i guess it was worth it.

What wax did you use?? What do you know about that "spray and wipe" wax, I think Eagle-1?? I toyed with using that, but stopped short of pulling the trigger.
I just got back from a trip to Amarillo, and I think I picked up more bugs on that run alone than I have the whole time I've owned the truck. :(

I use "The Absorber" from wally world. I don't remember how much it cost. It's like a synthetic chamois but holds tons more water. It rings out really easy and leaves no lint (none). It is also very soft, will not scratch unless you get some dirt on it. It is a funky light green so if you do get any dirt on it, it is very visible and you just refold to finish drying, then wash when you get home.
It comes in a tube and you just stick it back in the tube wet, no need to let it dry out. It doesnt mold or mildew or stink, I leave it under my seat all the time, it never leaves the L unless I am using it or washing it (just throw it in the washing machine, unlike a chamois).
All it takes is one swipe on even the wettest surfaces and leaves no spots, works great on glass too. Takes me less than 10 minutes to wipe my baby down including the inside door jambs. I had chamois and it sucked compared to this thing
HIGHLY recommended!!!!

Spary and Wipe wax is just....OK. I use Maguires just to give it a touch up between good polishing's. If you just want to throw on a quick shine it's great for that. You won't get a really good, deep shine but it's better than no wax.

I have and use all kinds of different waxes. I have a few no name brands that ive been using that work very well. I always detail friends and co workers rides.
Im going to be giving her a clay bar treatment some time next week. It needs it and will need it after going to Tyler with my g/f and the L will get sap from pine trees at her parents house.

...... and the L will get sap from pine trees at her parents house. Pine sap and pine dust sucks. :nono:
Take a Truck cover or even a full size tarp with you.
Course the East Texas folks may have a better solution.
