to fix the paint defect, and have them look at the starting problem, (once every blue moon it will take 3 sec to turn over..) Wish her luck at the service dept. Show love for f150 i'm hoping to get. Gonna take the face to my cd player too, don't want to give them any other reason to go joy riding in my baby.

Dru,

If you're going to leave your L with a dealership, you might write down your mileage before-hand and compare the after. Also, check the bottom part of your air-dam for scrapes and back tires/fenders for signs of hard launchs.

I've heard stories of SVT dealership joy-riders. I just don't trust them any further than I can throw them!

Yeah, and about every 2-3 weeks or so, it takes like 1-3 cranks of the ignition to start the L. Go figure!

Ronald

Taking the digital camera with me to take a pic of the ODOMETER when i park it, anything over a half mile or mile will deserve a bitching from me seeing as the paint shop is at the dealer. :nono:

Which dealer, Dru?

Be sure and turn on the date/time stamp option on your camera...before/after.

Just cover your bases.

Ronald

Yeah, he should... But if he doesn't the rent a car place there at North Central will let you rent one for $10 a day... Because the premium service only pays for a compact car.

And my truck always takes a few moments to turn over.. I just figured that's the way ford's start..

If in Austin an need service work, Lance at Leif Johnson Ford handsdown! Fairly mod friendly as well, also they install and are looking to get a dynojet to do tuning soon I hear too. HE said they do 90% of the SVT service for central texas, too many unhappy customers with the other area SVT dealers (me being one of them w/mac haik and my 2001 L, that's why i sold it)

Here's the pics for you guys. The first and 3rd picture are of the same spot..it's about 8 inches up on driver's side from back tail light, and the other spot is right underneath in the same area..(you can see the bumper)
