I was thinking about picking up some 10" Thunderforms, I noticed a few of you had these. Are you happy with them and how was the install? They actually have a few on Ebay for between $215-300. Close to $100 less than I found anywhere else.
Appreciate any input.

Hey Tony, I appreciate your help.
I'm not looking for a lot of bass, just a cleaner sound than the stock system. I just heard a lot about the thunderforms, so thought I'd inquire into them. I don't know a lot about car audio so any input you could give me would be greatly appreciated.

if you are looking for some thing skakes the H:flaming: ll of the L
you should conseder a little better sub, thise sub is like a 6000 serie 10' sub , and if you want mtx you should go with a better serie a 8000 10' or 12' would be good but then there is other subs also verry good like my ECLICE 12' ALUMINUM CONE or even better the ORION but then we get in to prices and so on and so on.

I don't need anything that expensive or powerful, I just want a louder, cleaner sound. I want to replace the stock speakers, get an amp and a box with 10's for behind the seat. Like I mentioned, I'm pretty clueless when it comes to this stuff. So what brands should I be looking at for inexpensive, but good quality sound? And what wattages would be acceptable for what I want? Also, should I replace the head unit or is it not necessary? I'm not planning on entering any competitions, and I don't turn my stereo up so everyone and their cousin in Detroit can hear it. My music is for me, but I like it loud!

then the thunderforms would be ideal the sound geat and very clean and the box fits perfect. you don't have to change the head unit I had my stock unit for about a year. you just need to buy RCA pre output to conect your amp (to get your speaker out put and change it to an rca conection) but loke I said the MTX500d was a little too much for the 10's at leas forthe car shows,

Thanks a lot for the help. What should I go with in the doors?

I went with Polk Audio 6X8's in the doors and rear and they sound great, especially when you add in the Thunderform (mine is loaded with Trio 10" that sound awsome and the whole thing, (Box and (2) 10" Treo's) only ran me $350.00:banana:

I've got Kenwood 5X7s and two MTX eight inchers in my Thunderforms. I remember when an eight incher was something to be proud of.
