If you dont mind, why has it caused you more problems than fun? I cant imagine being without it..

What lowering kit? My L suspension is stock. Only thing thats new is front shocks. Rear shocks have 82K miles on them.

But i probly wont get anything near what i owe on it so im gonna keep it.

Sell outright, do not trade it in. You can loose too much, plus it gives the dealer another factor to screw you on the new vehicle profit for them.

I've gone through some cars in past 10 years-
1991 Mustang LX (sold w/ad in paper)
1995 Mustang GT (sold w/online ad)
1999 Camaro Z28 (sold to son of co-worker)
2000 Grand Am GT (sold w/ad in paper)
2001 Camaro SS (traded in for new $29,100 Lightning) but lost $ on the trade
2001 Lightning (sold w/ad in paper)
2003 VW GTI (sold over the net)

BossShinoda is asking 17K for his and still has it. Yours has had quite the rough life. Realistic money is close to 15-16K with high miles and previous wreck history.

Carmax will definately find the repair work. I am not sure what the Carfax says to private buyers. The easiest way to sell is to trade in or Carmax it. Otherwise it is months and months of tire kickers and joy riders. To eventually take less anyways:hammer: . There are a lot of folks upside down in their rides:( .

You can do a couple of thigs to help you out.

Park it if you have a beater.
Refinance it if you have had it a while.

If the top two things don't help you and you really want to get rid of it, just sell it and take your loss, add your loss into the next truck you buy. If the next truck you buy is a really good deal, your loss on your L won't be so bad.

(ex. say you get another truck $5K under retail, it will be like giving retail for it if you loose $5K on your L)

Just some things for you to think about.

Recently traded my '99 which was not far from stock (pulley, air intake, shift kit, lowered 2"). It only had 44k miles, though, and not one scratch on it. New tires, too. Got $16,200, but with the tax savings on the trade it amounted to a net of $17,250.

Carmax wanted to give me $15,400 for it.

I traded in my 02 Lightning for a new F-150 XLT, I got it on X-Plan, ( around 21k) and I recieved $23,500 for my 'L, I owed 24,500, so I added the 1k difference onto the new note. I also did not have to pay any taxes since I traded it in, so that was around $1300.00 So I came on top by $300.00

You can get good deals at the dealer you just have to work them tools...'Henry

Oh and if was not for gas milage, I would have gotten the 5.4 on the new style F-150, but that 4.6 is getting 24mpg is SWEEEET...
