We had a power outage last night, for no apparent reason other than TXU wanted to jerk me around, that took out my DSL modem.
Since it is a 3 day weekend and they ship by UPS, I am screwed until Tuesday. Thinking I would end around the bad luck, I whip out an old, AOL for free, CD and hook up by prehistoric means. How in the hell did the cave men live with this sh!t:vomit: ?
I do a bit of day trading over the net and by the time I get a position moved and get confirmation back, the got damned stock has changed to a different company name:rolleyes:.
I don't want to even think about how long it is going to take to download from my favorite porn sight:D .
4 years with high speed connection and a fellow gets real spoiled.

DougMy DSL provider is Verizon, so I guess I need one of the Fujistu ones. I hate to sound simple, but I have to ask. I assume I just plug it in and I am off and running?
The second question involves getting my hands on it. I don't know that I can get away this afternoon, but my son is still home from school and could meet you at any place you choose to get it. Will this work? And I'll just buy it from you in case this happens again. I'll send the 20 bucks with him.
I think you have my cell number, but it's . You can call me when you get a spare minute at work.
Thanks Doug,
Rocks
P.S. Thanks to you also Adam...but I think Doug is closer to my house than you are.

I hear that. I signed up with them in a Hotel a couple years ago, just to have the net while I was in Florida. The first trick was finding out HOW to cancel. After two months, 3 phone calls and a disputed credit charge, they got the hint.:rll:
