Does anybody know what an engine code P1406 (auxillary emmisions control) mean. It popped up yesterday when I accidently hit the rev limiter. The guy at autozone said it was a dealer code and he couldn't tell what it was.

What's that part I've read several posts about that you have to take off and clean that's in the intake area. I know I'm being vague but that's all I remember about it, but I'm wondering if that may be related, because I have been running and idling a little rough lately.

Got this off F150 online. This is the same sensor that is on the Lightning if I'm not mistaken.
"I got a letter in the mail from Ford concerning my 2002 Explorer. It states that I have an extended warranty (2 yr./24,000 miles) on the vehicles tube mounted EGR pressure sensor (9J460). If the sensor requires replacement, they will do it for free. It gives program number 02M01 if that helps anyone. This is due to an improved design. The funny thing is that the Explorer just threw an EGR code on Tuesday. Hopefully this is it, and they will fix for free..."
