I'd heard of other people having it happen before, but I'd never experienced it personally. I was on 35W in Ft. Worth (dry, crosscut concrete), and not on it especially hard, maybe 2/3 throttle, but it definitely barked 'em into 3rd. :burnout: Looked over at the wife and said "Hey, that was cool!" Dunno why, maybe it shifted just as I crossed an expansion joint or maybe I hit a little oily spot, but either way it was good for a grin. :d

I have noticed the same thing, but under harder throttle. Ever since I got the tranny rebuilt it seems to shift into 3rd very hard (have chip too).:burnout:

Mine does that every time at WOT. To be honest, it worries me. And this is *after* having JDM soften it up!
I think I am going to have him turn the wick down just a bit more on the shifting at FFW. This thing has to last me, y'know :)

98cobra, what exactly did you get JDM to do?
Which programs do you have?
You have the Factorytech valvebody?

These are the mid plates between the 3rd gear clutches on my tranny. It was shifting fine, barking second regularly, just seemed to be losing time on the track

Now I have raybestos blue clutches with new nitride treated midplates
;) :)
