Codes for Service Engine Soon

I don't remember where I've seen it before but I know it's out there. My wife went to the movies tonight and used valet parking at the mall in Frisco... gets the truck back and now the "Service Engine Light" soon is on.

How do I display the code and once I got it... how do I find out what the code means?

To clear it I just have to disconnect the battery for about 60 minutes right?

Good thing I just got my inspection sticker this month.

Autozone can read the code as can Terry at Performance research

I also have a scanner that can read and reset codes
Disconnecting the battery for 2 minutes should do it ifyou want to just get rid of it

I may try the Autozone route then... Getting rid of it is only a part of the problem... something caused it and I'd like to know.

Have them write down the trouble codes - they may not be aboe to see what the code is but the ford specific codes are listed here
