Replaced FL's with 29.95 replacments worked well for one day. Fuse was blown, replaced fuse and blew again. Removed the FL's and one of the bulbs had gotten hot enough to burn insulation and short out. I replaced buld and fuse, FL's still do not work but my headlights come on with the Parking Lights. If I remove the FL fuse the HL's do not come on in the PL position. I figure I shorted ot the HL switch. Anyone else had this problem?
Did you ground the wire properly to the metal casing of the foglight?
If its loosely connected, this can cause the symptoms you describe.
I actually soldered my wire to the spring clip that holds the bulb in.

I did double check it and even criped the connector tab so it would fit tighter.

Make sure you insulate the wires where it comes off the bulb as far back as you can with heat shrink or electrical tape. If you allready blew a fuse, you will probably have to get a new bulb on the side the wires were black.:tu:
