If so, how does the truck handle with the load? Anything needed like airbags or helper leaf(s)?

thinking about towing the mustang and was curious if it was possible to do with the roush kit I have.

Rick,

I'd call Roush and ask them. I have my doubts if it still maintains ~5000lb towing capacity...after installing it myself. I don't see how those rear leafs could support that kind of weight over a long period of time...but I'm not an engineer and am just making an educated guess.

I had the Hotchkis and they said it cuts the payload in half from 800lbs to 400lbs. I towed a 4 wheeler and light boat with no problems. When I put a thousand lbs of concrete and sand in the bed it rode nicely on the bump stops. Either spring will cut payload down to 400lbs and require assistance for heavier loads.

Towing and payload are two different things. Providing the load is balanced (no excessive tongue weight), my Roush can tow just about anything a standard suspension truck can haul.

Does the Roush suspension kit also drop your truck? I want it to drop about 2-3 inches and wasn't sure if I also needed to order drop shackles as well?

No shackles required..........................

That will lok real nice with the Fikse wheels I'm going to put on. Where did you get the hood, and how much if you don't mind me asking?

I do still have all the items removed from my '04 L when I put the Roush kit on.

Decided to pass on the towing idea, wife needs to drive her own car (mach) anyways :)

On another note, my stock wheels/tires are up in the dfw area (wheel technologies) getting painted black with machined finish lip/rim. 24 hour turn around and they deal with the tires too.

How much are they charging you to paint the wheels and polish the rims? Just curious since I am having mine done sometime before L-Fest.

not sure on cost yet, working through my service writer at local dealership (who had his wheels done too) so they are getting a better rate than I could going direct. Hope to have em back this afternoon :)

I had some FM\5 17" Fikses (Black Anodized spokes, polished lips) on my previous camaros. I wish they offered a 20", but they are a racing wheel company and not bling bling :)

Nice wheels!!!

I have called Fikse twice, and I have an acquaintance who is a distributor for them. They do not make wheels for trucks/SUVs, no matter the size of the wheel. :( Or I'd get some FM5's to match the ones on my Z06.

Rick,

I tow Jay's Mach to TWS and to MSR all the time. The important thing is to have the Mach ballanced on the trailer with just a bit of tounge weight.
