Could someone explain how the Tough Truck series at Fun Ford works? I want to enter, but if its like True Street then it would be pointless because i know i do not have the fastest truck. Is it bracket racing? Any special rules i need to know of?
Any help is appreciated,
D

Tough truck is brackets not sure on True Street. I think Sixpipes (Dennis) has run that class in the past.
Maybe he'll chime in if he's not off buying more Gen 1's:cool:

True Street is a Mustang class. You may be thinking of Fast Ford/Quick Ford/Street Ford................these are all bracket classes. The T/T class involves taking two or three qualifying passes....your best of the three is your qualifying time, they will deduct a tenth from this and that is your dial in time.
The other three I mentioned above......You pick your dial in and see how close you get to that number.
Check here for rules and fees. Don't forget...you'll have to buy a FFW membership to play. http://www.funfordevents.com/

What Rocks said, except you only have to buy a FFW membership if you race the showdown classes. FF, QF, and SF is just a pay and race bracket program with complete events (qualify/race) on Saturday and Sunday. I would suggest Street Ford if you have never done a FFW event.

I did not realize the FFW membership fee was not required for entry in the FF, QF, and SF classes.
That explains the small turn out in TT in Ohio. There were several Lightnings in the QF and SF classes that did not run with us in TT. I don't blame folks for doing that at all. It's the smart play if your not chasing points.

I did True Street with my Cobra before. Is Tough Truck a bracket race? Can you enter Tough Truck and Quick Ford at the same race?

Yes and yes.
Tough truck only allows three qualifying runs and then the race. FF, QF, and SF are multiple test and tune runs before the program starts and then race with bybacks after the first round only.
