bought a 2002 Corvette Z06..... he wants me to go to kennedale with him on Sunday... i told him about that last z06 i beat up there... so he said he wants me to prove it...
his new z06 (well used, but new to him) is completely stock.... that one time i beat that z06 i ran a 8.2 with slicks and around 85' outside.... that z06 ran a 8.4.... is that about average time for a stock z06? or did i get lucky?
if its like it is now and 90-100' outside... how much worse will I run??? but does the heat effect all cars equal or are our trucks just especially vulnerable to the heat?

I was at Kennedale this past Sunday, and there were 2-3 Z06 vettes there, and they all ran 8.4 - 8.6, except for one. He had a Lingenfelter (sp?) 'vette, and he was around 8.2. My four runs (temp was 94 degrees) were consistent 8.9, and my last one was a 9.1. R/T was slow on that one.
Back in March, I ran 8.8 consistent. You should be able to handle him with your slicks, and cool outside air, I would think.

Well my neighbor didn't bring home a Z06 but they did bring home a new Tahoe & Avalanche, but forget that this is about what I seen today around 2:05 pm heading east on 121 In east Ft Worth into North Richland Hills. I was about 1/2 mile behind when I saw the back a vehicle I had never seen before, but as I got closer I realized what it was .A Dodge Magnum, all black, rolling on at least 22's or 24's, really dark windows and it was in the center ( of 3) lane cruising. That #%@^ thing looked bad and sinister as he!!, I don't care what no one says. I'm not a Dodge man by no means, but I will give credit where credit is due. To top it off it had a Harley Davidson emblem like on the Harley truck placed on the back hatch right between the bottom of the window and top of hatch release handle. Who ever was rollin' it, was rollin' it right.

you should go to kennedale friday night . i'll be there running in the bhra race it starts at 6;00 . it's suppose to be cooler tomorrow . so you should run good . i'll be happy with 7.8s . i have run a few zo6s . with a 100 shot and a good driver i have seen them as low as 7.6 . and stock ones around 8.1 to 8.4 , but that was a little cooler weather. viper guys are more fun to mess with.:D they take it so personal.;)

I don't think he was a new neighbor (more like a GQ pretty-boy making a booty-call last month with one of the female neighbors, I surmise), but there's been a Silver GTS/ACR Viper with blue "skunk stripes" running around the apts.
He's around Plano/Frisco with a "Boyd Bros. Inc." logo on the fenders with a thumping stereo system.
