Scott,
IMHO, you should go with the E-fan combo. You will see just as much gain (if not more) in your current state of tune than with the LT's. The benefit of the E-fan outwieghs that of the LT's, especially in this heat.
Don't get me wrong, LT's are a great mod, but you won't really see the full potential of their capabilities with your current set-up. I didn't put LT's on my truck until I had a KB and was pushing 15+ psi. Even then I "only" saw a 15 RWHP gain, which is EXACTLY the same gain I got from the E-fan(with a combo very similar to the one you're currently running).
The E-fan removes b/w 10 and 15 lbs of reciprocating weight from the front of the engine, thus "freeing" up HP and reducing the parasitic drag on the engine, which enables the engine to rev more freely and operate more efficiently throughout the ENTIRE RPM band.
The Spacer, and Heat Exchanger both work to decrease the temps of the incoming air charge, which further increases HP, if only nominally. It's all about the combo! I'd go with the E-fan for now, and save up for the LT's when you'll really see the benefits of them(other than sound).
Goodluck,

You can bend your existing EGR tube to fit. It is NO big deal at all.
Later,
Rob
