I got my first wave today, usually if i see another L, i wave. I did the same with my Cobra, and always got a wave back, but this is the first time anyone has waved back. It was a red gen 2 L, old style taillights, new style wheels, mesh grill, chrome emblems, tinted windows. Saw the guy at Plano rd. and Northwest Hwy. Anyone know who it is? Either way nice truck.... :tu:

Doesn't sound like any of the "regulars" around here.
I get a return wave and/or a honk about 50% of the time around here.
With some L people, I suppose it just doesn't "register".

All the time, I wave. I get responses on maybe 30% of them.

I try to wave when I recognize the L in time. QUESTION If I'm northbound on central and I see an L going southbound its hard to recognize a wave at that speed.. Would a high beam flash be more appropriate in this scenario?

Couple things that would help identification:
1) Get a SVT Lightnings.com banner for the back glass or a larger version for the windshield. These can be procured from Doug. :bows
2) A TALON sticker for the back glass. :burnout:

Always also, but it is hard to be seen in the L.
Now the CBR--always gets noticed!!!!
And the Jeep--almost always gets noticed, hard for one jeep guy to miss another, we are always checking out who is higher with the most add-ons plus the older jeeps (CJ7 here) always command respect. HAH!!! Respect for our ability to work on the damn thing every other weekend just to have a open top toy to run around in. LOL
That is the joy of the L---no worky on!!!! Just write Terry a check! :eek2:

just looked, min order is 100 and if ya get just a 2" round ball with talon logo on it , they would be under $0.50 each
but if ya wanted a custom shape (something not round or football helmet shape) then you are out of luck, they are expensive and min order is 1,000

The only Problem with the antenna ball is your going to have the same s#!t happening that went on when the jack in the crack ball came out! Everybody is going to be stealing them right off of our tucks!!! I had to push 30 or 40 needels in my ball so people would leave in the f#@k alone!!! :hammer:

I try to wave if I see another L in time,a lot of the time I'm in my daily and I just try to see if its someone I know before waving. When I was in the Army in Killeen, my Mustang club started flashing headlights at each other. It caught on and soon any Mustang that passed each other was flashing headlights , in the club or not. That was pretty cool. But hey Killeen & Ft Hood is not as big as the Metroplex. And there is a lot of L's in this area. Steve and anyone else that it matters to; don't you just hate it when a knucklehead don't know the history and how it got to be here and now. Its to bad the knowledge and wisdom is missing. Especially when he/she think it just started in '99 :(
