What a day!!!

I had the opportunity to drive a friend's 428 SCJ Mustang coupe, had to get setup for the Yellow Rose show in FT. Worth.

I thought the L had some bottom end. It is a SCJ, 4speed, Ram Air and 3:91 gears, also known as a drag pack car. It did not matter what gear I was in it would set you back in the seat. You could put it in 4th gear and it would pull you at any speed. @ 60-65 you are running ~3k on the tach, no downshift need to pass. I was always looking for 5th.

Anyway just had to share my joy. Can not wait till Sunday when I get to drive it home!

What year was it? I've ALWAYS been a huge fan of the '69 R-Codes. Dad had a '69 Mustang I-6 as a commuter back in the day.

It is a 69. Now I need to get my butt in ear and get my R code Mach1 back together. It looks like it is going to be a nice day, think I will go out and work on it now!!!!!

If you want to see some nice cars go to the Yellow Rose show this weekend. I must say being the 40th for the Mustang, there are some hight quality cars this year. THey had 3 Boss 429, etc:
