I know that you have to disconnect the battery, but is there anything else that you have to do? Have to get warranty work done tomorrow. Thanks

If it is a JDM file you don't need to clear it since there is no chip code. They are more suspicious when the computer is cleared before service. When you clear it shows OBD drive cycle incomplete. Plus they check the contacts for being cleaned vs a code these days. When they voided my warranty my PCM was laying in the floor board with the plastic cover off. Even though I removed it they said there was a chip at some point. That is why I like the SCT flash programmers they are a lot harder to track vs scraping your PCM board.

I have the hook up on the warranty not getting voided, but I just wanted to make it safer and easier for the service manager to cover me.We just had a member Justin get his claim denied for a blown plug! I told him to demod but his hook up at the dealer said it would be fine. But the tech got it flagged. It sucks because they know all mod heads do it. I told him to get with Jeff and use his service writer that covered his head job. The technicians cry and get an inspector to come void jobs they don't want to do. Because waranty jobs only pay about half the normal labor rate. I am sure you won't have any issues with your service just FYI for other members.
