Q for DSG owners

Any complaints about that color? Does it look dirty fast? How well does it hide scratches and stuff?

I've found the color is great for hiding defects and dirt. However, I don't feel like it can look as shiny as red or black. I do like the way the metallic flake seems to create "shadows" that hightlight the lines of the truck. :D

SONIC BLUE is the shinyest with the most colors in the paint!!!!!! It can go from deep blue to a very dark purple. But it does show dust fairly bad especially after a light rain.


And before anyone else can say it "Black it the fastest!"

And why do you hate admitting Ruslow is the fastest? Fastest is fastest no matter who gets it.

Coming from having a white one for 4 years, I'm pleasantly surprised at how well it hides minor water spots from puddles on the street, etc. White was easy to keep clean, IMHO. This color is a bit harder, but very manageable. I'm pleased with my decision.

Thanks everyone for your (informative) replies. I enjoy white but don't know if that is what I want to stay in. Still haven't decided. :D

The DSG cleans very easy but I dont think its near as shiny as other colors. I have had my truck in for a paint defect from the factory. The bed on the drivers side had bumps in the paint, looked like someone painted over BB's. Oh well i got the whole bed painted.

DSG hides dirt and tiny chips very well. It's extremely deep, rich, and mean looking.

SB is a metallic, but shows dirt and water spots very well :mad: From worst to best as far as hiding dirt and water spots: black, SB, DSG, red, silver, white. There is a faily neat gadget out that will run hose water through a filter cartridge. Its pretty effective in eliminating water spots especially if you don't have time for a wax job.....ha ha I said wax job Beevis. Anyway, it can be bought at Wal-M...the water filter that is.

Yeah, that DSG looks awesome.. that would be a great color to have on an '01... :D
