Crank Pulley Puller

Does anyone here have the puller for the crank pulley? I talked to Terry and his are all loaned out. If anyone does I really could use it. Thanks.

-MichaelYou might go to Autozone or Pep Boys and see if they have one in their free rental tool crib. Its just a 14mm hexsocket correct?

Crank pulley puller? I think I have one in the garage next to my flouresent tube bender.J/K.

Terry loan out his tools:nono: :d it just unbolts, no puller required except for some muscle. 14 mm hex,13mm and 15mm socket, and lock for the tranny.

How do I lock the Tranny? I have all the bolts off and when i try to break the crank pulley off, it juts turns the motor?

You strap the fly wheel to the tranny housing. Do a search for pictures.

I recently put a 4#der on my tuck and it was bitch!!! All you need is a 14mm allen socket and alot of muscle. As far as locking the converter up, i made my own little strap. All you need is a piece of pretty sturdy metal and drill a hole on each end and then take the little dust cover off the bottom of the transmision and take one of the nuts holding the converter to the flywhell off and atatch the piece of metal there and then atatch the other end to the transmission itself. It is easier that in seems!!!!!!!!!

Well that depends on the woman...but in the pencil range.:) 1/8" to 3/16" thick.

I think the piece I used was 14ga stainless. Just something I had laying around the shop!!!!!

Can't you just lock the pulley/balancer with a screwdriver or something?? Or a strapwrench?? :confused: I did that a few times when pulling the balancer/pullies when replacing timing chains...

Well i got the pulley off and installed the right belt as well as put the water pump and electric fan on, thanks for the help guys, I apreciate it!!!
