SAWEEEEET! :tu: :tu: Those would look great on my black '01. You willing to do more? How does the powder coat hold up after a while? Mine is a daily driver.

the actuall coating is fairly easy to master the prep is were it's all at , and the hardest part . to do these it takes about 3 to 4 hrs of prep per wheel . also in this case 2 coats one black and the after polisishing 1 clear .

the coating holds up better than regular paint , but nothing is impervious to rocks . always willing to do more .

I was thinking of bead blasting them down 2 prep them and then coating them!

I never knew you did that. You are the man. :bows Those wheels look great!! I might have a few things for you to powdercoat, including tranction bars and possibly a grille. Can you powdercoat the stock grilles, or would that have to be paint? I don't know much about the process.

Also, what would I be looking at pricewise??

no no . strip and sand . the bead blasting roughens the surface .

anything metal just about . i'm building a bigger oven so i can do larger parts .

price depends on the colors they are priceded differently depending if it's high tech or multiple layers to get a certian finish . bud all with in reason . i don't do this as a living but just to give me some thing to do .

Excellent. I'll get with you later. Sounds like the stock grilles are out (oven and plastic don't mix...flashback to when I was a kid). Traction bars for sure...possibly the upper intake plenum..maybe even some wheels off of my wife's Jeep Liberty.

Saving my pennies, how much for four? Have to buy tires soon, plus wife's birthday next month. Might be a few months before I am ready.

LOL, easy guys!!!! Ken has to finish my other two before L-fest!!!

And those rock   I am thrilled at how they turned out. Glad you went ahead and finished the lip further in than we talked about, otherwise I dont think there would have been enough polished lip to set off the wheel from the tire. I will call you in the moring to come and get them.

I just have one more special touch to add to them. :twitch: And I will post some pics when they get on the truck (if I ever get it back). The body shop is having problems fitting up the aftermarket stuff I am having put on and they want to keep an extra few days to get every thing looking just right. OH well, better miss a few days driving than have it look crappy. I should be getting it back middle of next week.

These wheels are really poorly finished from the factory. Ken was showing me on those wheels a bunch of casting flaws that didnt get sanded down before they were coated from the factory. Never noticed till he pointed them out, then I was like...

Elaine and I've seen this one '01/'02 Red L on the showroom floor (not mine obviously) with 3+ globs of paint on the upper rear fenders.

It was SO easy for the practiced-eye to see and they let it out of the factory and on to an SVT showroom floor? :hammer:

Okay if nayone wants to see what my upper and lower looks like I will be more than happy to show you.

Ken is going to do my wheels in white irridesent with a chrome ring. Can't wait to see what it will look like all white out and all. Nothing black on the outside at all when all is said and done.:tu:

I will have to say that Ken is the man if it can be done he will figure out a way to get it done.

Except for keeping an instyle haircut.:rll:
