superchip or diablo???

hey everyone, i'm new here and i have some questions...first off my L has a 4# lower, intake, throttle body, exhaust, and it is tuned with the predator. Even though we richened it up 10% with the tuner it is still running lean and detonating. i want more hp/torque so i was thinking about going to a 6# and doing a custom program with a superchip, maybe with a custom tune my a/f will be ok. can anyone help me out??? by the way i'm at 395rwhp and i wanted to know an estamate on rwhp with the 6# and superchip tune.

I would retard the timing if you have not changed that with the Predator.

We tried retarding the timing but the fuel curve is not changing for some reason. it gets lean at about 4200rpm and begins to detonate at about 4600. my diablo is maxxed out so either i need a program written for it or i just need to sell it and get a SC.

Okay stupid question time. Did you get a custom tune when you got the Predator? If not then you will need to get one since you have changed alot of the variables that the hand held can not adjust. I have been running mine for almost a year and I have had no problems out of it.

i did get a custom tune with it. the place that did it is in oklahoma(where i moved from) and he says my injectors may be bad because he has alot of experience with lightnings. i'm going to go to performance research to get a ported blower and also re-tune it

I would say that more folks in TALON have had more success with Superchips tunes than Predator tunes. The predator stock pulley tunes are famous for being TOO agressive. Terry at Performance research can help you find a powerful safe tune

I have a stock predator with its 4# pre-programmed tune. I have a throttle body, long tubes, cold air intake, 4#, usual bolt ons, and my fuel curve is almost perfert...its staying at a very safe state at the upper RPM. I would recommend reprogramming to the predators stock 4-6# tune. Ive never had any detonation. Look at my previous post's I have my last dyno's uploaded on it.
