Just looking at the situation .....

1st ... don't ever make a deal with anyone off of ebay for any reason....you're not covered by ebay's protection stuff if you make a deal outside their auctions. The reason the guy wants you to take care of the deal outside the auctions is because he won't have to pay the fees for ebay. You could both get in big trouble for that. People have lost their accounts for worse.

2nd ... never buy anything from someone that won't let you use paypal. And any time you use paypal, DONT MISS THIS... ITS VERY IMPORTANT ... make sure you use the "BUYER'S PROTECTION" plan. It may cost you more but it covers you if some @$$ is trying to rip people off. When you make your payment with paypal's web site watch everything real close. It'll say do you want the buyers protection or something like that. Where it says that ALWAYS, ALWAYS check yes. What that does is... if your seller screws you over and doesn't ever ship you the item, it's like insurance and Paypal will give you back every penny they ripped you off.

3rd... you can only get someone's name and phone number after you've bid on one of their auctions. Once you've placed a bid all you have to do is go to a certain site on ebay's web site and it'll tell you immediately his name, address and phone number so you can have a way to contact him if he's not sending your product or hasn't answered.

4th ... the guy can't sell it to you off of ebay because he already has a bid on it, unless he's going to screw his bidder over and cancel the auction, but why would he do that? Hes already guaranteed 1k...and his buyer now has a contractual agreement with him that they have the highest bid and he has to sell it to them.

5th ... the only reason he would be saying he'd sell it to you off of ebay other than not having to pay the fees is if he has more than one ... and if that's the case i'd be worrying about it being stolen ...

6th ... no feedback ... wait for another one ... do a search for "kb lightning blower" and when you click on search and the search screen comes up ... look on the almost top right hand side of the screen. There's a button that's for "add to favorites" click on that button ... chose the drop down menu of watch for 12 months ... and chose that it will send you an e-mail daily ...

This means any time another person starts an auction with a KB Lightning Blower in it ... ebay will automatically send you an e-mail saying HEY this auction is going. You may be able to get it lower than 1k....You never know. Unless it's something you want now...

When you do get the e-mails saying there's another auction just open that auction, chose watch this item.....then at it through-out the auction to see what the price is...if it's a good price then bid on it. ;) if not wait for another one....

I'm sure I can think of other things to tell ya too but can't think of anything right now ...

Just to be on the safe side ... only way I would bid on this one at all is to make sure he takes paypal for one ... and make sure you chose the buyers protecion on paypal ... and make sure you open the box and check out the item very very closely before leaving feedback ... 'cause once you leave feedback you're done. You can't get anything else done.

There's a thread on the F150 site on the same blower and it seems this guy has posted the same items several different times under different names.

It's a scam. If it's too good to be true, it isn't.

The key word would be WAS, I was kickin some bootay. I started screwing it up in Ohio and haven't stopped yet. There are now about 6 or 7 of us within 30 points of first. I could pull on the others...if I can win the next event.

hes posted other things before and been kicked off even before i got my L i looked at a few things like that for my other trucks and it surprised me when i use all of my email address (6) to ask the same ? about price i got differnet answer each time and i bet u can guess who he wanted to sell to . since the swing was over $ 725 .00 from low to high .
