I got the L in yesterday, and I love it! Pure joy to drive. I'd love to become a part of TALON, how do I go about joining? Thanks for all of your help.

Welcome to the club, do you have any mods in mind yet. I may suggest pulley, filter, ftvb, chip. Best bang for the bucks, terry can take care of you on that end as well as all your other mod needs in the future.

Come to a meeting or event and be active here and you're fine. There is a monthly meeting this week (Thursday). We also have a track day coming, Fun Ford Weekend and LightningFest up in Topeka. You're welcome to come to any of those. Don't forget to become a supporting member if you're interested.

Glad to have you here. You'll find a lot of support and good info here.

She's red :) Not sure on the mods, K&N for sure, chip, and pulley, I had planned on a different exhaust, but I really do like the stock exhaust, clean, not too loud, not too soft. Where's the meeting at on thursday, and what does it take to become a supporting member?

Factory Tech Valve Body - Its an over grown line mod valve for your tranny.

Some folks in TALON love them - Some have taken them apart and found rusty parts ... :eek2: :eek2:

Austin,
Mmmm.... Red!

I would suggest the PR Wild setup if you're a younger guy and like the louder exhaust.

This is my L with the Wild setup: http://www.performanceresearchonline.com/street/svt/exhaust.htm

Tex,

FTVB = Factory Tech. Valve Body. Basically, a shift-kit for the L trans. to make it shift harder, etc.

I felt the same way until I got Terry's mild exhaust. It was perfect for me, a little more growl and no drone. I have attached a pic of the tips, which are much better than stock and they dont hang down like the stock exhaust. It is the way to go.
On the FTVB, I went with a line valve mod from Terry and love the results, its also a lot cheaper than getting the whole valve body.
And welcome. I would also like to suggest that you become a supporting member, its only $10 and it helps keep the site running.

...I had planned on a different exhaust, but I really do like the stock exhaust, clean, not too loud, not too soft... Terry's mild may be the way to go based on the description in your post. I put the mild on mine and it's a little more aggressive than stock but I can still hear myself think while driving. BTW, this is my truck and notice the difference between these tips and the stock tips. No comparison!

As Terry called it the other day - That's the bling, us stock guys have the blah. I should be blinging mid Sept.

I will say Austin, that the PR Wild catback setup is fairly loud - short of going Hi-Flow cats and headers.

Speaking on the cell phone is alot more difficult on the passenger side v. the driver's side whether the windows are up or not and whether your accelerating or just maintaining road speed. Just cruising through parking lots will make car alarms chirp.

I'd get it installed again and Terry and his exhaust guy did a fine job.

Also, get yourself a CAI (Cold Air Induction) setup soon, too and let that S/C breathe.:tu:
