I couldn't decide on a grille and saw this idea bouncing around on F150 and nloc. It needs a little "tweaking" but here it is:

It does look good, Larry. :bows I was contemplating this, but I'm a little worried about the "up-close" look. Were you able to cut the edge-guard right so the ends meet up nicely on the ends?

The one other thing that I am worried about is the glue on the edge-guards letting go and allowing the edge-guards to move around. I had this problem on my old truck, and it left behind some nasty residue.

That looks good!!!:tu: I have been wanting a diffrent look.. I always wanted the Harley grille look but I never found the bottom grille insert... I guess I will just stick with my billet

I was able to get good angle cuts on the ends and for the most part it fits well. I used a single-edged razor and it trimmed out easily.

I thought about the glue giving way but look at this as a long-term temporary fix until I make up my mind on a real grille.

Figuratively speaking - it's like this!

Do you pull that Band-Aid off slow or fast?

Which hurts worse? :D

Hey Larry, looks real good. :tu: Question - I would like to hook up with you and see how you did it. My top grille is aftermarket, looks just like what you did, but since I bought the truck used, and the grille was already there, I don't know a manufacturer name to search for the bottom grille (believe me I've tried). :hammer: What you have there looks like it might just work for my application. Call me and let's get together. Check your PM for phone number.
