What's a good quality shop manual for the Lightning? I don't need an ASE shop manual. I'm not spending $300 on manuals. Does Chilton have one that is specific to the L? I have one for my wife's '00 Expedition and it lists "F-150" along with it, but of course it has nothing w/ regards to the blown 5.4 motor.

I have a Chilton's (87-96) F150's and Bronco's and it has Lightning specific info for the Gen1.

Maybe the regular F150's for the later years do the same:confused:

Doug's right. I bought the flat rate tech dvd, and it is great. The donation is up to $50, however. Still, very much worth it. Here's another option that I've found:

Hope the link works. - Mike

Ok, well those links are buggie or something b/c I can't get anything to pull up for an '01+ Lightning.

Also, Chilton and Haynes have manuals for the F-150/Expedition/etc, but in fine print it says "does NOT include SVT Lightning model". :(

I'm considering tackling the blower R&R myself and I like to be over-prepared. It doesn't look hard, and people who've done it tell me its easy, but I like to know what I'm getting into.

I just tried it myself, and they both worked fine. Maybe you had a little trouble with your connection.
