Pending on JDM we should be able to dyno tune a few trucks while I learn the new SCT. The prices will be $400 for the SCT programmer and 200 for the dyno time and tuning. I know Rob requeasted a spot and I have room for one or two more max. Thanks!

I am out, mods wont be on truck in time for the SCT so I will wait till after L-fest. It's all bracket racing anyways so as long as I stay consistent even if it is stock, should be fun.

CAI, 4lb pulley, mild exhaust, FTVB, SCT tune, drive shaft loop, trac bars. I am dropping my truck off monday am but you are so busy next week i was gonna tell you to forget the go fast stuff and just get her lowered (springs and dearched leafs) and looking good for L-fest. I can have you add the other stuff later on.

It's all bracket racing anyways so as long as I stay consistent it's no big deal to go faster. I am afraid to run her very hard with the pulley and without a tune so i figure no mods is better than partial mods and tearing something up.

By the way I appreciate you squeezing my truck in next week!!!! I know you are busier than a one legged cat covering up s*** in a sand pile with FFW and L-fest.

Also, can you give me an address and directions from the closest major hwy to your shop, I havent ever been there and there is no addy on your website.

Talked with Jim at Ennis today and he said hte earlier the better Monday. I spent a few hours with Jim tuning trucks at the track today. This SCT software is what we have all been waiting for:bows . We will start at 8AM over at:
Wells Racing Engines
1303 Crest Lane Drive
Duncanville, TX 75137
If you get lost call me or something. Jim is leaving for Houston as soon as he is done so let's not hold him up. Rob Underwood is first, Adam is second, BC Lightning, SonicblueTommy, and Scott 00Bolt is Jim's freebie. If you need to drop your trucks off Sunday call me and I can put two or three inside the shop overnight. Wells is only a few blocks from my shop.:tu:

Let me just tell u from first hand from listening to Terry and Jim, this programmer is tha ****!!! Adam gained over 20 more HP from this than from his chip!!! But this programmer is so indepth with the programming u can get it down to tha point about the only thing this thing can't do is change tha color of the truck!!!

It was a very educational, arse kicking, grueling day. I learned a lot more than tuning. We all got a heck of a deal today as Jim informed me. At his shop he gets $465 for the SCT tuner, $150 to strap it on the dyno, and $300 to tune. He is going down to a shop in Houston tomorrow to tune 40-75 vehicles and he is charging that shop $375 per vehicle. I definately lost my a$$ today but the training was hopefully worth it. Dyno tuning prices will definately go up to cover the costs involved. Wells Racing has one of the finest dyno's around only 3 in the USA like it. He has nearly $100K invested in it. It is a SuperFlo with eddy current brake and he can also start sprint cars on it. Since sprint cars don't have starters on their engines. I have a new found respect for Jim and his empire:bows .

I showed up around 5:00 to catch the tail end of the dyno day. They had Tommy's truck (Sonicbluetommy) straped down. While we waited for the programs to load to the tuner, get the dyno ready, blah, blah, I got the chance to talk to Jim and hear what he had to say about the tuners, as well as the overall truck. I didn't know that going from 93 to 91 octane throws your timing off 4 degrees  . Just in the little time I was there I learned alot. Well after everything was ready Tommy put 380rwhp with a 4#, mild muffler, and airaid. I have to go back to terry's shop tomorrow to get my truck fine tuned since I have a "ghetto" 95mm mass air and Terry thinks my numbers are off since the program is for a 90mm. all in all it was a great day for me, the truck feels more powerful and shifts harder just babying it home. See ya at 9:30 Terry  .

I got way more power on a much safer tune. Can't get any better than that

Great job Terry! Two more days and you can get some real rest!!! And I had no clue you could wake these babies up so easily with a little tuning and just a couple fairly cheap mods!

I do have one concern. My truck shifts f***ing hard, so hard it will easily break loose on the 1-2 and 2-3 shift (and I mean you cant even hold full throttle on the 1-2 shift unless you want to meet your a**end coming). Jim is the expert and you have tons of knowledge on these trucks but I have heard that messing with the tranny thru the comp is not a good way to firm up the shifts. Soooo, GREAT "L" WRENCHER :bows your input?

It also downshifts so quickly at any good dig into the throttle (not WOT). Almost like it is begging to be romped so it can downshift. Maybe I am just not used to it, but it seems a little excessive.

I am sure your MAF will end up in the back of the truck Wes:D . ProM's are on my banned list, SCT makes a real nice MAF for the L's. Even Jim doesn't use ProM any longer. He said they read different from day to day nad are hell to tune. Mike's is a piece of metal tube with the stock sensor mounted in it. Kind of like a homade trash can MAF:rll: .

Tommy, the good thing about the SCT is I can make adjustments to it instead of mailing soemthing back or waiting forever. Call and stop by and I can check out those shifts for you. Same on Mikes tune.

That's cool, Mike dropped his truck off today and I installed a VB and reprogrammed the transmission for it along with his ghetto 95mm:D :tu: Thanks Mike!
