Backing out of the driveway this am to head to work and didn't notice that my son, who parks at the curb had left the nose of his truck in the driveway. Crunch!!! I guess if you are going to hit someone might as well by your son. I should have fell out on the ground and grabbed my neck screeming it was his fault.:evil

Shiner1,

What were you thinking? Next time, "check 6" before you make like a craw-dad in the L! :D

Well, since Shiner's thread has already been 'jacked all to hell, I'll elaborate as to my whereabouts this fine day. Had a blast!

Late last night, I decided to take today off :d and run solo up to OK, visit with Mom/Dad and prep my favorite deer stand for OK. deer rifle/blackpowder season.

Nothing beats road-tripping in the L through the North TX. countryside, smelling the mesquite scrub, and jammin' out to your favorite tracks with the windows down. Monster Magnet - Power Trippin' rocks my a$$. :bows :D

Later, Dad (64 years old) and I hiked back 1-2 miles from their farm-truck during the mid-day heat today toting a Husquarvna chainsaw, axe, 40 lbs. of 10-20-10, salt, and other gear by hand up and down creeks and canyons to get there. Laney's even hiked back there with us.

Deer are really starting to hit my salt-lick pretty hard - have been for the last year or 2. Tons of hoof scrapes and even tongue impressions on the ground all around as of this afternoon.

I'm thinking they have to be mature bucks since I have fresh antler rubs on cedars/persimmons around it and they're trying to establish domination/ownership over the lick. knana

Dad and I were chainsawing/chopping down branches/growth to re-establish shooting lanes and having a very good father/son time. I'm thinking we're going to start building AR .223/.308 setups and dial them in.

Also, I brought my .300 Win. Mag rifle down with approx. 200 rds. of the premium Winchester/Remington ammo. down for some range time at the local 100 yd. range north of Frisco.

I foresee a range outing tomorrow with Laney taking pics/video.

Oh yeah, there is the new job thing too.

There's your :ron:
