OK. So I forgot the tent, but Michael made it to the finals in Super Muscle. I have posted three videos from the day at the following TMCC link.

As for myself, I had qualifying runs of 9.57 & 9.51 with RTs of .070 and .050.
Ran a 9.71 in the first round off-the-gas after cutting a .002 light. I cut a -.002 light to lose in the second round. I realize that I have to start being satsfied with .0XX lights, but there was only three pairs of cars in the quarterfinals and the low Reaction Time of the round would get a bye into the finals so.......I went for it and got burned. Ran a 9.61 on a 9.60 dial anyway.
Flats Man's Gen I won it's inaugural race with his son Trevor behind the wheel. Traction was a bit more of a problem with his Powerdyne set up, but he still got a 9.10 with a 2.2XX 60'.
At this point in the season, I am probably officially out of the running for the overall points chase, but still have a good lead with two events left in the Street Muscle class. Maybe with a decent performance at Ennis next month I can lock up the points title in my class.

Fred,
I did the calculations. Your truck has 3:08 gears.

Thanks Dennis, That is just about what I thought! That explains a lot of things! No wonder I was getting such good gas milage from Florida. I had at least a 400 mile range between fill ups! lol Well those gears will not be in there for very long! I will really need slicks then!
It will be real nice for the run up to Topeka!

Your truck turns ~2,000 rpm @ 75mph in overdrive.
Popeye turns ~ 2,300 rpm @ 65 mph in overdrive.
Popeye's equivalent rpm @75 mph is ~2,650. We know Popeye has 4.10s. The basic equation is 2,000/2,650 X 4.10 = 3.09 (variation off by .01 due to rounded numbers)
Ford does make a 3.08 gear set for the 8.8 rearend. And you're right, that answers all the questions.
