Well I just installed a 2.5 upper pulley and the boost bypass. The only thing is that in every gear my truck will throw me back in my seat when it shifts. I think it is because of the boost bypass. Is this normal?

I do not know if that is normal or not hey just a question where did you get the 2.5 compressor pulley and was it hard to install and what belt size did you have to go with, also the boost bypass how hard was that to install and did you get your chip programmed for the new compressor pulley?

I prefer to unplug the watse gate instead. The bypass diables the mechanical relief safety. There are a few important functions of the mechanical relief. With the bypass the only relief is belt slippage:eek2:

Thanks Terry hey my other question about the 2.5 compressor pulley is that a worth while bolt on if so is it a hard swap and what size belt do you need.

When you go over 4#'s you need to stay out of it unless drag racing. Long runs with 6+#'s is very hard on the truck. I would run a 6# lower to stay with one simple pulley swap. You have to buy a 150$ tool to remove and install the upper and it is a hassle for dealer trips as often as these trucks go back. Plus you are asking for slippage going that small up top and the relative weak hold of the stock tensioner. For a 4# and 2.5 upper I would guess K080670 but that is just a guess :)

Thanks Terry for the info.
