Haven't been on the board in a couple of weeks, so I am just now getting to read your post. I am an architect in Fort Worth, Texas, working at a medium sized firm. I just quit my job at a firm which employs over 2000 people nationwide after 13 years. It just got so darn old. I am really enjoying working at the smaller firm, it is much more of a challenge day to day.

My hobbies are (besides the L, building a 1941 Chevy coupe street rod - slowly but surely, and raising my two sons ages 17 and 9. Both of them are great kids. My wife and I are truly blessed. I also coach youth football, basketball and baseball.

My oldest son Sean plays american football for his high school team, and does quite well. He runs for his schools track team as well. He's pretty fast, runs the 100 meters in 10.6 seconds. He also plays baseball, a sport at which he truly excels. There are several colleges interested in him. I stopped coaching him a couple of years ago, as he is at a level well beyond where I can help him. My 9 year old, Dominic, is also an avid baseball player, and does pretty good for his age. He also likes basketball and football, and he also has good speed and size.

I am happily married to a pretty hot Italian-American woman, who puts up with all my crap! I am truly fortunate. I must have done something right in a prior life. I just got home from watching a high school football game in which most of the kids I coached from ages 5 thru 13 were playing in. A couple of them have shots at college scholarships at major college programs here in the colonies. It's a real pleasure to watch the kids I used to coach do so well, especially when one of them is my own.

That's my life in a few paragraphs. Thanks for allowing me to share.

Mike

Norman,

I'm an IT/Informatica guy here in the US. The Informatica World Conf. this year is in Edingurgh, Scotland. I'd love to attend and hang out.

As for hobbies, I enjoy almost anything related with Lightnings!:nana2

Outside of Ls, I enjoy hunting/fishing/traveling about the country-side with Elaine.:)

Also, I'm looking to build a "pimp-rig" clear-sided monster PC soon, and maybe down the road soon, a tack-driver AR-15 .223 setup.:bows

Just curious do you (or anyone you know) play the bag-pipes?

Ronald

Hot Wheels. I've been collecting off and on for several years. Majority of collection is 1995-current. Makes for some great 3-D wall paper. Currently at 1,889 cars in the packages, only 1 exact duplicate. I also have been trying to get each release of the '70 Chevelle SS & '49 Ford Shoebox and open them. I don't go out of my way to find them, usually just buy the ones I like now. (at 1st was trying to get all of them as they came out)

I enjoy anything dealing with cars. Before i bought my L, i had a modded 97 Cobra that i played with. My dad and i bought a 93 LX hatchback to toy with, so that i could keep my daily a little more streetable. It is something we are both interested in, so its a good way to hang out and shoot the ****. We plan to put a 408 with a blower once i get done with school.
Currently im finishing up school with a degree in Kinesiology and a minor in Business(most likely management). So working out and playing soccer/basketball is always interesting. School takes up alot of my time, then i work 3-4 nights a week at Chilis for my mod money, so my schedule is pretty packed. Freetime i like to sleep, or just hang out with my friends. The bars are usually a good place to find me, sippin on some jager.
Other than that my life is pretty plain and simple. I havent actually gotten to that age to be able to afford a hobby with still being in college.
