I am about to get ready to head out there. Drop by the big top and say hello.
I got to meet BC Lightning yesterday....hello Michael, it was good meeting you. You'll all have to forgive me if I seem a bit distracted out there, I like to get my "race mode" going for the arse kicking festival:rll: .
I ended up not being able to do the BBQ I was planning on. My beater broke on Thursday and I lost some time having to get it running:crying: .
See you There

Are eliminations starting this afternoon or tomorrow?
I am planning on heading out to catch some of the' fun but would rather catch the elimination rounds than the qualifying.

I will get two time trial runs in the morning. Those are used to get the exact let off point.

I blew my clutch out. I had been having problems with it for a while but I didn't have the money or time to get a new one in.We could see on the dyno stat sheet how it was slipping and when I took Steve on a little cruise I was telling him about it but thought it would last for this event but I didn't even get a burnout in. I just went down the track, took myself out and went to the trailer. I had the worst FFW I ever participated in.
It was going straight to redline on the rev limiter, but I have to go to redline to get it to move. Well it was a Zoom and had been in since '98 or '99 i need a stronger one to hold the torque its putting down. What a disappointment. We were looking at getting in the top 15. Well I'll be back !!!

Glad it wasnt anything real major.... seemed like you came off the line pretty strong then it fell on its face.

Hey Ron, It was good getting to meet you and watch your truck run a couple of times on friday. I could tell that you were in "race mode" as you were getting your fan positioned over the motor. I did like the way the slicks looked and they will look even better on my truck :d (j/k).

I did like the way the slicks looked and they will look even better on my truck :d (j/k).Race Mode???...LOL. I'll break into a :ron: and tell you what got those clowns all saying that too me.
If you ever spend alot of time around Northerners, the first thing you learn is that they never shut up. I sh!t you not...they don't stop to take a breath. They also never wait for one person to finish a sentence before they jump in and start yacking. It reminded me of my "speed freak" years from my youth.
Now you have the basic scenario for my :ron: . The first race or two, they didn't know me yet, so I was able to sit in silence and think about the next round coming up. At some point, during the 3rd to 5th races...I forget exactly which one, life became a blur at this point....my tent became the hang out spot. So in between rounds, I would hear yak, yak, yak...about nothing significant...coming from all around me. In case you haven't figured me out yet, I tend to be rather blunt........:Dsometimes:D . I would then politely say...will everyone get the fock away from me...LOL.
Howard, being a bit embarrassed by my technique and strong people skills, would tell them, "he's not trying to be mean...he's just getting his head into his race mode". Eventually, they all figured out that I actually liked them:beer: and began to tease me and each other about leaving me alone when I was in....you got it..."race mode". I may be stuck with this taunting forever:confused: ....but I wouldn't want it any other way.
How was that for a :ron: ?????????? Pretty impressive, even if I do say so myself:D .
It was great to meet you Michael....hopefully you will make some of the trips to Hallsville with us this Fall to chase some new personal bests:nana2 .
