What is the best filter for the L? I am going to use Mobil 1, but with 3k on the odo is it too early to go with synthetic? Any advie would be GREATLY appreciated! thank you...

The filter is a M210 and blue label 5-30. Most oils are so good they don't allow much break in. I ran a "special" break in oil:D But you have to use it carefully so I don't reccommend it...

Isn't the Mobil oil filter an M1-210:confused:
I bought three of them the other day along with 15 qts of 5/30

Isn't that what I typed? M210 They also take 6 qts so you need 18 for three changes and 1/2 a quart for every 1000 or so miles if you drive it right :D

Walmart had the 5 quart plastic bottles on for $17.88 so I bought their last 5 bottles:banana:

Costco has cases of Mobil One for about $23.xx compared with the $28.xx at Wal-Mart. The 5 quart jugs at Wal-mart is a good buy though IMO.

when did you switch to synthetic? I was going to wait until after 10k or so

I would change by 6K anyway. Even most dyno oils are so slick they don't allow wear.
