Keep practicing Grasshopper:D Anybody can throw one or two rods. You are getting warmer around 4-5 but you have to break the rod all the way off the journal not just the skinny part.:tu: http://www.svtgalleries.net/gallery/data/500/15blown3.jpg

damn ken that sucks. but hey, atleast its a chance to put a bunch of forged performance parts in its place :D . you seem to know enough to probably build your own. i know of a good machine shop here in irving that could do the milling, boring, and machining.

Throw on top of that buying a $9400 JDM longblock and that breaking in 3K miles. It eventually drove me to selling my truck:hammer: . My stock motor blew with only a 2# pulley and weak street tune.

wow! that would have killed me . i also had oil and metal pieces sucked back through the blower all the way to the air filter that's why every thing is so rusty. and with that it knocked off a bunch of the teflon on the rotors . who recoats them . my pile is smaller:rll: than yours.

holy moly, Ken, how in the HELL did you *do* that?? :eek2: We need a nice description of events and how you think it could've been prevented, so we can make fun of--I mean, learn from your mistakes!!:tu:
And if you have pics of the aftermath, before you dug into it, those would be cool too.
Hope you get it all fixed soon.

tex my nitrous enrichment fuel system switch shorted out 1000ft down the track at rusk , and so it melted 2 of my pistons enough that they folded or tried to fold it half while on the down stroke . not much noise , a slight denotation then 2 clunks and i was coasting .partly the switch fault and partly mine for not putting a redundent back up system .
here's a few more pics.

yep i bought a complete more to get the parts i needed .waiting for the new crank right now , but as soon as it comes in the block and internals go to the machine shop . in the meen time i'm port matching the intake (from the tb to the heads) to the intake , and powder coating almost everything under the hood .

Did your system have a cutoff switch built into the fuel line, to shut down the nitrous system in case the fuel pressure dropped off for any reason?
