Looks like I get to stay in the club. I bought a Gen 1 last night. 94, red with 70k miles. The big mod is the Vortec charger but it has several other go fast goodies. Clean, clean inside and out. My son and I are going to fly up to Michigan and pick it up next week. Should be a fun trip.:d

Make sure to check the lower core support for rust under the radiator. Michigan is a rough place even if they say they never drive it during the winter...

I had a '94 L with a 7lb Vortech blower on it. Easy to maintain, lots of fun...ran low-13s on stock tires. Have fun and have a safe trip back!

Thanks T, thats a good thing to know. Anything else that pertains to the Gen1 I should lookout for?

I can show you some minor stuff to look for.

If you want to stop by my house this weekend and make a test drive your welcome to. That way you have something to compare it to.

Congratulations and welcome to the Old School! You can change your plugs in less than 30 minutes! Are you planning on running it at the track?

Congrats on the Gen. 1, John! :burnout:

One thing you might keep in mind, is if the '94 L had some sort of dealer paint/undercoating treatment applied as it's spent it's life (evidently) up North.
Enjoy that road-trip back down here! knana
