OK. To keep everyone from getting real confused about this, I am starting the official sign-in location for TALON FALL CLASSIC III. Information is as follows:

December 4, 2004 (rain date is December 11)
Hallsville, TX
$30 (Race fee includes T&T)
$15 (T&T only)
Bracket Racing (flexible dial-in / set your own dial-in on every run)

Please note:

If there are enough folks, we can have a Championship bracket and a Consolation bracket like we did last year. There were not enough people last year to make this work. Otherwise, we will have just one bracket with first round buy-backs. If there is enough interest in having a heads-up class, we might be able to come up with a few bucks for the winner.

Plaques for (brackets only):
Lowest ET
Best Reaction time
Closest to Dial-in

Trophies for (brackets only):
1st Place
2nd Place
Semifinalist (2)

As always, I am open for suggestions on how to make this event more fun so please don't be shy about chiming in.

Well i picked up the slicks from Ron today, now all I need is the Metco Lower Trak Links and I'm set for Hallsville.

Uncle Rocks and I might have our own convoy to Hallsville since 7-8ish is too early  . I figure if we go about 100-130mph we should arrive about the same time as everyone else :evil

iv never had this problem at kennedale, so thought I would ask before its too late....

what are requirements? do I need helmet, driveshaft loop? anything else? i dont have any of those....It's just common sense to use safety equipment. If you're running slicks, it would be a very good idea to have a drive shaft loop (a catapulting truck after a front drive shaft break would make great video, but not when it's your truck). A helmet is a no brainer. I'm sure someone will loan you one, or you can pick up a cheap one at a motorcycle shop for $100.

If you're planning on running in the 13s or better, all you really need is a helmet. Hallsville has been pretty lenient (sp?) on the rules from what I remember, but it is just good policy to cover your own ass.

Does this mean that our race is going to have company? What was it like last year? Were we the only ones there?

Last year we had a relatively low turnout. You could make all the passes you wanted.

With two events now being moved to the same as ours, it may be a little more crowded. Who ever gets there first, may want to reserve us a good size area.

Hey guys, how much 'threat' of rain will cause this thing to be postponed. Its really going to suck for me to drive all the way down and it rains because I have to go to my company Christmas party in Tunica (south of Memphis) Friday night, then turn around and come to Hallsville sat morning. Sure would suck to drive 500+ miles (one way) and it end up raining. We have about 8 or so guys coming down from central arkansas and just kinda curious about weather. The closer it gets, the higher the rain probabilities get :(
