My friend is going to buy a 2000 or maybee 2001 L.
I forgot where but I read that they had a problem with the radiator or some thing. I forgot where I read it. I do rememder they said it would cost 1200.00 and must be done. And is was also hard to find this part. I do even remember now if it was anything about the radiator. He say alot of unwary new L buyers get trap with this cost because there did not know it? Do you guys know what it is/about?

The old style intercooler was in the 99/00. The intercooler was redesigned for 2001 and newer trucks.

I replaced three in less than 37,000 miles. I doubt there are many 99/00 models that haven't had the upgrade.
