did anyone attend the GM Autos In Motion vehicle drive at Lone Star Park in Grand Prairie today? I along with my bro-in -law BJ and his wife Jackie went from 8:15 to around 11:15. Got to roll a "baby" Benz C320, a manual GTO ,a manual C6 Vette,H2 Hummer and Caddy SUV. Had a OK time. The GTO just looks like a big Sunbird to me. It sound deep and throaty tho!!! Bad a$$ sound to be from factory. The duel exhaust on the same side is Sunbird-ish. It breaks loose in the rear if you roll it hard in the twisties.The C6 was smooth, a little to quite for me tho,could barely hear it. I never drove a car with traction control so it was a little harder to break the rear end loose but I did . I think I scared the staff member that was riding along.(staff rode along in the Hummer,Vette & SSR)Didn't want me to dump the clutch off the line,so I eased it out the hole ,ran it up near redline and snatched 2nd real hard.Rear broke loose a little then went through the twisties hard. I like the button you push to open the door in place of a handle. The Hummer went on a man made off road course. Of course the Hummer was a million time more plush than the military Humvee versions I drove in the mid 80's and early 90's.
