Has anyone heard of anyone changing out the stock intercooler heat exchanger/radiator for a larger more efficient one? I wonder if this would help cool down motors with large pullies. Just a thought...???

.. me recall that Justin has one. Whether it's installed though, is anyones guess.
Several Intercooler threads on NLOC and again, racking my memory, there is a Talon member that moved his battery and NOS to the bed and put a "ice" fed intercooler under the hood.

But, then again THAT was a couple beers ago ....

I think he (Sam) is talking about the lower radiator. Mark4 is talking about the JL Power Cooler. I haven't seen anyone swapping the lower radiator. There are some tricks for running larger pulleys though:D

From what I've read the stock intercooler is extremely efficient. Similar to SVT's excellent (stock) exhaust in terms of engineering. Either way, good luck.

My fourth intercooler has been the best so far. I think it is like real efficient and everything.

Yeah I've heard those 99's were real POS's. :D

So you would agree that SVT has efficiently replaced your efficiently efficient intercooler?! How courteous of them! :d

Sam, me thinks that swapping the stock intercooler heat exchanger/radiator for a larger more efficient one wouldn't be worth the money, especially when you want it for track purposes and not the street. That is why I bought the JL Supercooler.

I have however have noticed that more and more L owners are adding an electrical fan/fans to the heat exchanger/radiator. I do not know how much it helps, but you can flip the fan/fans on while your in the pits.;)

...on their site says 15-18 HP & 2 mpg increase, then more if you also put the Cobra R water pump on. How accurate these numbers are is anyones guess.
