How much of a power differance is there between a 4lb'er vs a 6lb'er? I am trying to figure out if I want to upgrade or not. Also, is it safe to run a 6lb'er in the cold weather on a stock bottom-end?

I don't think you really gain that much hp from the 2lb difference. I think the real gain is in the trq. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

yeah, torque will go up est.12-20 lb ft,
horsepower will be around 10 or so?
You can run it all year long with the right tune(s). I plan to get a 5lb (up from 3lb) when one shows up on a classifieds section someday.

So basically, I could go with a smaller upper and gain the same power for alot less $$$$

The lower is easier to install unless you get an interchangable upper. Then you can run the bigger lower and just change the uppper when you race. I have an interchangable upper and I can change it out in about a minute.
