I ordered a few extra Raptors for anyone who wants a real serious data logger for their trucks. It is the same logger SCT and most professionals use to dyno tune vehicles. It is fast sampling and easy to use you can also input an external wideband and and up to 3 aux inputs into it. The raptor will record the info you need to fine tune your truck via Email or face to face. It records the MAF, load, timing and other critical info needed to make changes to a tune. With a Raptor, SCT, and cable I can custom tune your truck from a distance:tu: .

MSRP is $475 which includes the logger, CD, and all cables needed to connect to your laptop, aux inputs, and vehicle. They retail for 475 I think I can get them down to $425. These capture the data I need to edit programs at the exact rpm and load instead of just guessing from a customer supplied dyno sheet.

Terry,

Is this the same type of tool you would use to do a dyno tune?

Yes I use it to log engine load, rpm, MAF counts, and a few other things. I have to know these factors to know where to put more or less fuel and timing. The reason for the Raptor is its speed 60 something frames per second. Autotap and other toys are too slow to tune correctly with. It also does the standard DTC, clearing etc..

Very cool. Yes, Autotap and EASE (which is what I have for my Vette) are not as fast as this thing. Impressive.

May have to get one of these if I do some bigger mods. ;)

I have been thinking of getting one but I would rather hold off until it supports the 2004 and beyond cars. Also I heard that SCT was coming out with a flasher and logger integrated into a single unit. Do you have any inside info on this, as I would like to trade up my SCT flasher?

Thanks,
Mike

I used mine today to tune on Wes' built motor. Very very useful and fast. I have one in stock. The raptor requires a laptop to operate it is only an adaptor device.
