Just updated the forum to re-add the Timeslips hack
It was broken along with the arcade during recent upgrade
It allows for cool struff like sorting by 12 sec club, by et , by MPH etc etc
Also allows / requires timeslip picture for some types of times -
You MUST post proof of any time posted better that 11.99

1) provide scaned image no matter what the time is
2) be a Talon supporting member

well i realize i dont have much pull in Talon because I dont make it to many events/meetings, etc.... but I just kinda invisioned it as the "talon records" not just any joe blow in New Yorks lightning times.... or heck, someone with a Dodge Dakota with NOS....

Since I own Andy Cains aka Waynes old truck now. Does that grandfather me into that spot? :) If not the best I got so far without the nitrous is 12.5 but she has the 11's in her..

LOL.........this is getting funny. Truth of the matter is, it really is not mine or Scotts place to sa who can post what on the time list. Personally, I couldn't give a rats ass if someones great grandma Betty wants to post her times from BFE.

It does seem to me that you would want to post your own times under your name and not someone elses. Waynes times are Waynes times... Knowing what I do about drag racing, I can tell you that just because he ran those times in that truck...it really does not mean you will. Then again, you could better them...who knows.


As for what slips have to be shown, I think Doug(mod god) has already set that number at 11.5x or there abouts.

When I first bought my Lightning, I went to Florida for some serious modding. I ask the fellows that where doing the work how fast we could make my Lightning. They responded with, " How Big Is Your Wallet?". Back then I thought it was a cute joke. Now I realize it wasn't a joke at all.

I actually have that 11.35 slip in a frame with a picture of the 02BOLT. I do not have a digital camera, but will see if I can get Steve-O or Jeffrey to snap a shot of it and get the link hooked up here within the next week or so.

I was hoping that when I hooked up with TALON that the "Supporting Members " would have gotten more priveys than non SM's and that this would be strictly Lightnings not Chebbies & Doggies also. Dakota in 9th? :confused: Grant it ,unless my mind changes and I start making my truck non-stock ,it won't make the list. I do attend as many events I can that's on Sundays. Scott the only way you ever going to get the heat off you is to stop talking smack and posting and make events (s) plural-as in more than 1. And back up what you say.(IMO) Then if the heat continues its envy. But hey man thats one of your best posts. :cool:

Interesting Discussion - Missed most of it till just now.

I agree with some of the folks here - We dont want any yahoo registering and putting his civic time up ... I have hacked the timeslip hack yet some more to add permissions - Only Supporting members should have the ability to add timeslip data now- I also made it a requirement that the RIDE section and the Track location be filled in. The hack may not be 100% yet but Ill keep an eye on it -

The idea is to post the times of TALON members and thier lightnings - Where you live isnt important - Dana for example was and IS a member - he currently lives in PA but is welcome to participate because he OWNS a LIGHTNING and he was an active participant while he was here.

I added the word lightning for some of the lazy folks - Garrett.. Cough

We have been seeing eye to eye on all of the "unconfrontable issues" since last year.I think our point of view may sound bad to some,but I believe our heart and mind is in the right place. As for Scott I wasn't just speaking of you ,I was just speaking in general.Even I wanted to give him a hard time about the posting and not showing up .Others give him a hard time also.Its in fun tho. But Scott has to do his part to hush it up.And believe me Scott I understand about being the boss and not able to make some of the events at certain times. I can't make Thusday unless I'm on leave. But can't keep me away from other events.(Lfest,FFW,toyrun,Tarrant County posse events...) hint,hint.Plus it keeps wifey from yapping about it if I do the major things and not sweat the small stuff. :tu:

If one of our members were to buy a HD f150, could his times be posted with the L's? After all, it is basically a L motor in it. I just wonder why I haven't heard of any really fast HD's yet. Do people not likr them or what? I think they are kick ass!
