This is just purely speculation, but.......

I'm guessing that this isn't the end of the Lightnings for Doug. Of all the modifications he's done to his truck he's only selling a built transmission and an old intake and a snug lid.

The built transmission won't be needed if he get's one that's under a factory warranty.

the old 80mm intake won't work on a newer Lightning with a 90mm intake.

The snug lid is painted silver, are they offering silver in the new lightnings?

Im looking at getting a new one ...

I can get a Silver 2004 for 27,100 - there is nothing else on the market that I can get for anywhere near that $$ that would fit me as well and be as much fun to drive ...

Need to sell the old one and sell some parts to get the new one ....
